    • Abstract:
Evaluation accuracy when rating correct and incorrect ratee behaviors was examined in two studies designed to extend Gordon's (1970; 1972) differential accuracy phenomenon. Findings suggest the phenomenon to be due to a bias toward positive evaluation when there is uncertainty—an assumed Innocence of Incorrect behavior until ratee guilt is proven. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
