    • Abstract:
The article reports that the 99-Seat Plan has recently encountered a number of theater company contracts that violate 99-Seat Plan rules by asking unknowing actors to sign away their rights. Actors are usually confronted with these contracts either during auditions or after they are cast. Producers under the 99-Seat Plan agree to promote their productions, pay a stipend to equity actors, and never request financial contributions from those affiliated with the show. Despite that, however, more and more producers seem to be bending the rules.
