The novel's first mate, Starbuck, was supposedly the inspiration for the name of the chain. Meanwhile, James Patterson is on The Today Show on November 14 promoting his fifth novel of 2005, Mary, Mary. He has five planned for 2006, beginning with The 5th Horseman in February. Furthermore, the murder of a Kansas family 46 years ago on November 15 sparked Truman Capote's In Cold Blood. Moreover, the 56th National Book Awards ceremony will be held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Finally, Children's Book Week runs November 14 to 20.
