    • Abstract:
The article discusses the difficulty the United States Marines are facing in training Iraq's new police force. The new police force is working to increase their public image as they were the lowest public workers under Saddam Hussein's regime. The Marines still have to deal with the problem of insurgents infiltrating the police force and building trust between the police and their American trainers. The goal of any training is that the Iraqi police can maintain themselves once left on their own.
