      This article provides information on theater actor Jeff Daniels. After a 14-year absence from the New York stage, Daniels has returned in David Harrower's "Blackbird," opening on April 10, 2007 at the Manhattan Theatre Club. He said roles that portray people carrying a bad image are interesting to play. He is the artistic director of the Purple Rose Theatre Co. for which he has written 11 plays. He is also a musician, writing songs and touring the U.S. with his guitar.
