      The article reports on the sales performance of book retailers in the U.S. for the first six months of 2007, according to sales estimates of the Association of American Publishers (AAP). Sales in all but two publishing categories were up. Sales were off 1.5% in trade paperback and 2.0% in mass market paperback. The two non-book segments had the strongest gains in the year to date, with audio books up 23.1% and electronic books ahead 21.4%.
