    • Abstract:
The article focuses on bestselling crime novelist Michael Connelly. According to him, it was reading quintessential Los Angeles, California master Raymond Chandler that made him try to write his own book. At the age of 30, he arrived in Los Angeles to work the crime beat for the "L.A. Times." In 1992, Little, Brown published "The Black Echo," the first of Connelly's long-running series starring Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) homicide detective Hieronymus "Harry" Bosch.
