    • Abstract:
The author reflects on the effect of survey questionnaire errors on the public's assessments of health risks. He claims that questionnaire can be the weakest link in the process of measurement especially on subjective surveys such as risk assessment. He suggests that it is essential to test the instruments of survey before implementing them in the main survey. An overview of several approaches related to the problems of developing and testing questionnaires is provided.
