      The article focuses on avoiding and blaming parents, most notably by the terrible impact of Bettleheim on more than a generation of people with autism spectrum disorders and their parents. Topics include examines that it explores counter-transferential that therapists have toward parents, the difficulties posed by parents, and arrives at the conviction that the child's therapist can and should work with the parents.
