      The article discusses issues related to the class of 1956 of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge. According to Joseph Kaming, a member of the class and an environmental attorney in New York, they have had representatives in the major technological events which have changed people's lives in the span of 50 years, in space exploration, communications and the computer revolution. Andrew Viterbi, another member of the class, vividly recalls the climate for aspiring young engineers at the time. He says that everything was wide open and there were all sorts of opportunities.
