      The article presents a speech by Teo Chee Hean, Singapore Defence Minister, delivered at the 6th Plenary Session of the Shangri-La Dialogue of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) from June 4 to 6, 2010, in which he discussed the renewal of regional security architecture in the Asia-Pacific, cooperation and its encouragement towards awareness and appreciation of shared interest.
