The article discusses the efficiency of digital production process in printing of variable data with PDF/VT computer file format. Particular focus is given to the change in demands on variable data printing. The Hewlett-Packard T410 digital printing press from Hewlett-Packard Co. is cited for being fast and its high resolution. The drawbacks of specialized page description languages (PDLs) in digital printing process are highlighted.
