      Warner Bros. Pictures Inc.'s" Troy" emerged as the new international boxoffice champion with a weekend opening blast of $54.7 million from 6,722 screens in 47 markets. The Greek saga starring Brad Pitt was mainly responsible for causing an average 55% falloff of Universal-UIP's "Van Helsing," which tumbled to $24.5 million after an opening burst of $55.3 million. The monster tale has tallied nearly $17 million after two weekends in the United Kingdom, $6.7 million for the same period in Italy, $1.7 million in Taiwan and $1.5 million in Hong Kong, China.
