Topics discussed include the pigments that were used including red hematite and yellow goethite, the reason behind the obsession of Lascaux painters with the animals depicted in the paintings, and some theories on why horses played a prominent role in the paintings offered by Abbé Henri Breuil and Andrei Leroi-Gourhan.
