    • Abstract:
The figure of Achan is marked as one of particular importance in the book of Joshua where he is introduced as a clear contrast to Rahab. Despite this, he is mentioned only once more in Joshua and not again in the former prophets. However, the narratological importance given to him was recognised in the subsequent books of the Former Prophets, each of which takes up the presentation of him and integrates it into their own narrative. The goal of this paper is to trace this process and in so doing outline a typological pattern that can be traced through the Former Prophets. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
