    • Abstract:
The article examines the reductions in the plays "Waiting for Godot" and "What Where," by Irish author Samuel Beckett. It analyzes the ways in which the author stripped these works of many of the formal and structural elements related with traditional drama. It also reveals Beckett's reasons for doing so and examines the implications of such procedure for the appreciation of his works.
