A letter is presented from Robert Lovelace to John Belford. It explores Lovelace's request to Belford to come down to him. It provides a description of the inn he sets up in disguise and of the girl living there whom he called Rosebud. It examines his motives in establishing the inn. It gives an account on his own vicious disposition.
