    • Abstract:
The article focuses on various Alice books of Lewis Carroll. It states that the invocation and appropriation of the Alice figure is something of a convention, which began almost immediately following the publication of the first of her children's books. According to the article, each book succeeding generation seems to revisit them with Alice myth continuing to inform not only literary fiction but also popular culture, as well as a whole commercial industry. It also states that the episodic structure and playful use of symbolic nonsense in Carroll's children's books have further enabled varied and even contradictory interpretations.
