    • Abstract:
The article focuses on the influence and impact of the book "Social Gospel," by Walter Rauschenbusch on the U.S. Protestantism which was discussed at the University of Chicago's Federated Theological Faculty. It says that the a new generation of militant ministers backed Rauschenbusch such as Harry Emerson Fosdick. It adds that the Americans have rejected Rauschenbusch due to his efforts to keep the U.S. from fighting while his book has turned the churches into sacred civic-betterment societies.
