      The article discusses the themes of minimalist realism in the writings of Danish novelist Helle Helle. It describes Helle Helle' rise in the Ritter Sport Generation in the 1990s, Helle's concern with the nature of language, and her literary focus on the lives of everyday people. Helle's emphasis on death in her writings is discussed, along with the literary influence of such authors as Ernest Hemingway and Raymond Carver on her work. Other subjects under discussion include her books "Eksempel på liv," "Hus og hjem," and "Rødby-Puttgarden."
