    • Abstract:
The article examines writer Samuel Beckett's relation to the artistic trend of minimalism. It explores Beckett's minimalist aesthetics, and on how he turned away from the obsessive accumulation of stories in his "Trilogy" novel towards an approach that relies on the paring down of the words he used. The article examines Beckett's fiction "Têtes-mortes" and on how it counteracts the derogatory origins of the concept of minimalism.
