    • Abstract:
      The article discusses the alleged commodification of stage models in the U.S. and Great Britain during the 1920s, through examining the relationship between sexuality, aesthetics and race. An overview of the designer Florenz Ziegfeld's use of human models to display clothes is provided. An overview of the musical theatrical production "Brownskin Models," produced theatrical impresario Irvin C. Miller is also provided.
