      The article examines comic strips that are located in Brazilian newspapers. Particular focus is given to the gradual nationalization of these strips, which were primarily imported from North America since the middle of the 20th century. Additional topics discussed include how, as of 2015, one out of every four newspaper strip is produced in Brazil, the Brazilian researcher Gonçalo Junior, and the capital of the nation, Brasilia.
