    • Abstract:
This article reports on the status of the planned Universal Races Congress to be held in London, Great Britain. All schools of thought will take part in the proceedings and in the list of those who have already promised contributions are the names of representatives of more than twenty civilizations. Political questions of the hour will be subordinated to the comprehensive end of the Congress, the promoters being convinced that when once mutual respect is established difficulties of every type will be at all events sympathetically approached, although practical solutions may not be readily attained. In the first section the opening paper, on the definition of race, tribe, and nation, will be contributed by a leading Bengali scholar, Brajendranath Seal, the anthropological view of the race will be stated by Felix von Luschan, of Berlin. Pember Reeves is the chairman of the Executive, with Edward Brabrook as vice-chairman. Questions such as the differences in physical characteristics to differences in mental characteristics would be addressed.
