      The article focuses on the Detroit Regional Chamber which has planned to support a high school curriculum bill. The bill was introduced late last week in the Senate. The Senate Bill 1124 includes a requirement for two years of a foreign language. According to Sarah Hubbard, Vice President of Government Relations for the Detroit Regional Chamber, they are working in a global marketplace with a lot of international companies in their region. The bill cleared the Senate Education Committee and then has gone before the full Senate.
