    • Abstract:
Among other things, the Venezuelan twentieth century was the century of the oil institutionality that took the country away from oil lease traders and discretionary oil agreements. This article examines the period between 1959 and 1963, which had a particular influence on the evolution of that institutionality due to the emergence of oil patterns that had a relationship of continuity as well as some disruptions with regard to previous patterns.
