      Chapter 9 of the book "Ramsey Campbell and Modern Horror Fiction" is presented. It focuses on the other works of Campbell that are neither supernatural horror or psychological suspense. Three novels written for Universal horror films under his assumed name of Carl Dreadstone are discussed which includes "The Bride of Frankenstein" "The Wolfman" and "Dracula's Daughter." The origin of the subgenre of imaginative fiction known as "sword and sorcery" is traced through Robert E. Howard and Fritz Leiber, along with the history of horror anthology.
