      This paper presens results of research which has been within the scope of the scientific project Youth and the European Integration Process, carried Out by the Institute for Social Researches in Zagreb (manager: Viasta I1iin, Ph.D.). The aim of this research is to identify sociocultural factors of the gender equality in Croatian families in order to realize sociocultural circumstances which can contribute towoards achieving of the higher level of the gender equality in the Croatian society. The sample of research consists of 3000 representatively chosen Croatian citizens, 15 and more years old. The data were gathered in early 2004. Results have indicated that the majority of examinees express attitudes which support the traditional role of women. These gender equality attitudes statistically significantly depend on the sociocultural characteristics of examinees. The gender equality is more distinctively represented by the younger girls/women which have highest level of the education, by the employed persons with the urban residential status and by the examinees who are less religious and who are not married. The autor compares results of research with the other similar researches (for example: The Value System of Youth and So- cial Changes in Croatia, carried out by the Institute for Social Researches in Zagreb and Family Planning And Role of The Woman In The Family carried out by the Center for Market Research). She concludes that more extensive changes in the gender equality attitudes are possible to expect only when the numerous of socal circumstances, which more or less indirectly support the inequality, are changed. She specially advocates for creating better possibilities for the concilliation of professional and family responsibilities of women and men, by opening of various child and family care centres and by the encouraging fathers to take part in the using of parental leave to the greater extent.       Dans cet article sont présentés les résultats dune recherche effectuée dans le cadre du projet scientifique Jeunesse etprocedé europeen d'integration, tenu par lInstirut pour Ia re- cherche sociale a Zagreb (directnce: Viasta 11iin, pH.D.). Le but de cette recherche est d'identifier les facteurs sociocultureis de legalité de genre dans les families croates. Le but de Ia recherche est de montrer les circonstances sociocuiturelles qui peuvent contribuer l'accomplissement du pius haut niveau de légalité de genre dans ia société croate. Lechantillon de recherche se compose de citoyens croates choisis de facon representative, de 15 ans et plus. Les données ont été recueillies debut 2004. Les résultats ont indiqué que Ia majorité des enquétés expriment des attitudes confirmarit le role traditionnel des fern- mes. Les statistiques significatives dattitudes degalite de genre dependent des caractéristi- ques socioculturelles des sujets. Legalité de genre plus distinctif est représentée par les plus jeunes filles/femmes qui ont le plus ham niveau déducation, par les personnes em- ployées avec le statut residentiel urbain et par les sujets qui sont moms religieux et qui ne sont pas manes. Lauteur compare les résultats de cette recherche aux autres recherches semblables (par exemple: Le systëme de valeur de Ia jeunesse et des changements sociaux en Croatie, tenu par linstitut pour La recherche sociale a Zagreb et Planificationfamiliale et role des femmes dans Ia famille, tenu par le centre pour Ia recherche de marché). Elle conclut que des changements plus étendus des attitudes dégalité de genre est possible a prévoir au moment méme oO nombre des circonstances sociales, qui plus ou moms indirec- tement soutiennent linegalité, serorit changées. Elle se fait défenseur des possibilités de creation dune meilleur qualité dans Ia conciliation des responsabilités professionnelles et fa- miliales des femmes et des hommes, par louverture de divers centres de services et de soin aux enfant et aux families et par lencouragement aux péres a utiliser le congé parental.       U radu se prezentiraju rezultati istraivanja provedenoga u skiopu znariswenoistraivakog projekta Miadi i europski integracijski procesi u Institutu za dmtvena istraivanja u Zagrebu (voditeijica dr. sc. Viasta I1iin). Istraivanje je usmjereno na utvrdivanje sociokulturnih cinitelja rodne ravnopravnosti u hrvatskim obiteijima, s ciljem spoznavanja sociokulturnih okolnosti koje mogu pridonijeti potizanju vise razine rodne ravnopravnosti u hrvatskom drustvu. Uzorak istrazivanja sastojao se od 3.000 reprezentativno izabranih hrvatskih gradanki i gradana u dobi od 15 i vise godina. Podaci su prikupijeni posetkom 2004. godine. Rezultati ukazuju da u svojim stavovima vedna ispitanika podrzava tradicionalnu uloguene. Ti stavovi statistiski znasajno ovise o sociokulturnim obi1jesjima ispitanika. Rodnu ray- nopravnost izra zitije zastupaju djevojke/ene miade dobi, s viim stupnjem obrazo- vanja, potom zaposlene osobe urbanoga rezidencijalnog statusa te manje religiozni ispitanici koji ne ive u branoj zajednici. Rezultate ovog istraivanja autorica uspo- reduje sa srodnim istraivanjima u Institutu za drutvena istraivanja u Zagrebu (Vrtjednosni sustau miadib i dru.tvene promjene u Hwatskoj) i Centru za istraivanje tr2ita (Planiranje obiteiji i uloga zene u obiteijO, te zakLjuuje da je znatnije prom- jene u stavovima o rodnoj ravnopravnosti mogue oekivati tek onda kada se znaajno promjene brojni drutveni uvjeti koji danas manje iii vie posredno p0- dravaju rodnu neravnopravnost. Autorica se posebno za1ae za osiguravanje kvali- tetnije mogunosti usag1aavanja poslovnih i obiteljskih obveza mukaraca i ena, i to otvaranjem raznovrsnih us1unih centara za skrb o djeci i obiteiji, te poticanjem oceva da znaajnije participiraju u koritenju roditeljskog dopusta.
