      The article discusses aspects of design and the proactionary test drive in the 21st century. Topics include the role of designers in industrialism, the ontology that design as a means of production sustains is concerned with structuring human being's sense of the future, and the pervasiveness of industrial designing. Other topics include the role of anthropology, the three important aspects of failure prompts, and the phenomenology of how the second-order futuring is experienced and suited to the metaphor of programming.
