The article presents the author's views on teacher recruitment. It is argued that school districts should model their recruitment of top talent after other industries and foster a culture of prestige in the teaching profession. Passive versus aggressive recruitment, diversity, and schools exposing college students to the teaching profession and school culture by offering internships are mentioned.
