- Abstract: The article analyzes the film "Knight of Cups," directed by Terrence Malick. Particular focus is given to the writing about the film, forcing a reckoning with gratitude and love overtime and a way of considering the oeuvre of a director. The author discusses the futility showed in the film, and it introduces a yearning for stasis, whether a home, relationship and faith.
