    • Abstract:
The article presents information on the Vietnamese Conflict. The war in Vietnam is now the longest war in American history. Taking the date the first U.S. troops were killed in combat as the beginning (July 8, 1959), it is now nearing its tenth year. Except for World War II, Vietnam has been by far the most expensive war in American history. It is extremely difficult to measure the monetary costs of any war. The Executive office of the President has, however, made a valiant attempt to ascertain the costs of the war in Vietnam since 1965. According to these, in fiscal year 1970 the war will eat up 13 per cent of all federal expenditures and will have cost a total of $108.5 billion since 1965.
