      The article focuses on discontent of moderate political confucianism and the future of democracy in East Asia. It mentions Confucian political theory must include the task of accommodating reasonable pluralism as one of its priorities and Confucian political perfectionism directly engages with both Confucianism and liberal democratic institutions. It also mentions shared problem in recent attempts to find a moderate position in Confucian democracy.
