The article discusses analyzing peace in a U.S. history survey course which focuses on the rhetoric in the speech titled "Peace without Conquest" delivered by U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) at Johns Hopkins University on April 7, 1965, including through referencing ancient Greek general Pericles and war philosopher Carl von Clausewitz.
