      The article focuses on the play, The Corpse Washer, to be premiered on March 1, 2019 at Actors Theatre of Louisville in Kentucky as part of the annual Humana Festival of New American Plays. The play is written by Naomi Wallace and Ismail Khalidi. The play is based on the struggles of Iraqi families during the repeated wars and violence that have devastated Iraq since the 1980s. Both Wallace and Khalidi have been working on the play for the past two and a half years.
