Topics include the work of Mabel Keaton Staupers to launch a media campaign challenging President Franklin Roosevelt's decision to draft White nurses and exclude Black nurses during World War II, the integration and desegregation of Black nurses in the U.S., and the cultural and social dimensions of public health policies and practices in the U.S.
