      The article presents a report of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) which found that the U.S. Department of the Treasury's (Treasury) should improve information on agencies' expenditures from designating drug kingpins. It reports that under the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act, Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control leads a flexible interagency process to designate and sanction foreign individuals and entities that contribute to illicit narcotics trafficking.
