    • Abstract:
Illinois businesses, nonprofits land $22 billion in loans: The Small Business Administration still has about $130 billion available. After the SBA-sponsored program was approved in late March, it was initially overwhelmed by demand and plagued by online snafus that slowed the disbursement of loans, and then the program ran out of money in about a month. Some businesses may find it easier to meet the requirements of a bigger loan amount now because of the recent passage of a follow-on law, the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act, which makes it easier to qualify for forgiveness of the loans.
