Empathy is on track to becoming the most vital skill of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is characterized by technology-driven innovations such as artificial intelligence, robotics, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things that promise to transform the integration of our physical, biological, and digital worlds in unprecedented ways. That is why managers with a strong capacity for empathy are far better resourced to successfully lead teams through disruption and change while also maintaining team member engagement and achieving high performance outcomes.
