    • Abstract:
The US Department of Defense has a workforce of more than 19,000 project managers, and it is the Defense Acquisition University's (DAU) job to train those managers and support their career development. But other factors such as cognitive biases, psychological safety, team dynamics, and leadership style also affect simulation outcomes - all of which the trainer discusses with participants during the debrief. Hoping to get a quick introduction to your new team, you attend a farewell party for the departing project manager and have a chance to meet and talk briefly with several team members. The debrief also entails students translating their lessons learned from the exercise to the real-world teams they lead as project managers. [Extracted from the article]
