      The article discusses policies, procedures and strategies to promote engagement of and eliminate the gaps between youth who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) and their hearing peers in juvenile correctional facilities. Topics discussed include best practices for staff working in correctional facilities to promote engagement and communication with DHH youth, promoting sustainability across time and capacity- building and competency across staff.
