      The article discusses issues concerning poverty and globalization. Increased government regulation and control in international trade can be considered as the the best way to combat poverty. Fatigue and fear dominated the economic environment in many countries in LatinAmerica and the Caribbean. Open trade and competitive markets are the two factors required for the growth of the global economy.
