      The article elaborates the Critical Symposium on International Film Criticism of the December 2005 issue of "Cineaste." Film critic Serge Daney was a major influence on the writing of Eduardo Antin, former editor of the "El Amante Cine." Film critic Adrian Martin, considers film criticism as an encouragement to people to watch films that are beyond their interests. "Babae sa Bubungang Lata (Woman on a Tin Roof)" is cited by film critic Noel Vera as one of the excellent films in the Philippines.
