      The article focuses on the effect of military call-ups of health care providers on rural health care in the U.S. While data is scarce regarding the number of rural physicians and other health care professionals pulled out of their communities to serve in Iraq and Afghanistan, experts tracking the issue have heard concerns from every corner of the country.
