      The article focuses on the Black Hills Passion Play in Spearfish, South Dakota. The Black Hills Passion Play is a production of the last seven days in the life of Jesus Christ. It started in Westphalia, Germany by the Cappenberg monastery and was brought to South Dakota by actor Josef Meier. The challenges encountered by the actors in staging the play are mentioned. Background of the origin of the passion play is provided.
