      The article describes Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) opening at the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) and the the coinciding launch of the fifth Asia-Pacific Triennial (APT5) art exhibit. The author describes the GoMA building and the APT5 exhibit, noting the exhibit's focus on culturally specific themes. She describes several included works, including Aboriginal choreographer Stephen Page's theatrical performance, comic strip embroideries by Eko Nugroho of Indonesia, and sculptures by Dinh Q. Lê.
