    • Abstract:
The article focuses on the House-Church movement in China and its contribution to the growth of Christianity in the country, amidst the persecution. It relates that the movement started during the pre-1949 missionary when new converts who were dissatisfied with the traditional foreign mission started to gather in homes to their ministry. Moreover, it adds that during the time when the Church was moribund, the house-movement sustained the faith of Christians and survived as a lay movement.
