      The author reflects on the negative reporting of African and global media shaping the image of Africa and its people. He presents the stories in African newspaper which criticize the stress on the negative view of Africa by the Western and African media which would raise Afro-pessimism in America. He suggests that the Africans should take responsibility of their continent and consider to counter the negative portrayal of the media about Africa.
