      The article reports on the highlights of the workshops held by the American Public Health Association's (APHA) Affiliate Capacity-Building Initiative in Atlanta, Georgia on April 28 and 29, 2008 on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention campus, and on May 6 and 7, 2008 at St. Luke's Health Initiatives in Phoenix, Arizona. According to the article, the workshops were highly interactive, and allowed ample time for participants to share and discuss ideas with one another. The sessions balanced presentations with group tasks and other forms of hands-on learning.
