    • Abstract:
An article is presented on black popular music. It responds to the article posted by Alexander G. Weheliye to turn the critical dial on radio to lower frequencies found within contemporary rhythm and blues (R&B) music and to devote to the emerging field of inquiry called Afrofuturism. It explores the intersections of post-soul and post-human articulations of lack subjectivity, as well as the re-imagination of contemporary R&B music.
